Position Summary:

A top-tier financial institution is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Vice President (VP) to join its Market Risk Reporting & Automation function within the Enterprise Risk team. This is a high-impact role for someone who is passionate about leveraging technology to transform risk reporting—turning manual processes into scalable, automated solutions.

The ideal candidate combines deep knowledge of market risk reporting with hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, and data transformation. You'll play a key role in refining daily and regulatory risk reports, optimizing data pipelines, and supporting model-driven insights that guide risk decisions across the organization.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the design and automation of market risk reports, improving accuracy, consistency, and timeliness through scalable code solutions.
• Develop and maintain Python- and SQL-based tools to support risk calculations, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis.
• Enhance and streamline data pipelines that pull from multiple systems for daily risk reporting and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with risk managers, quants, and technology teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into automated, user-friendly tools.
• Maintain and enhance end-user computing tools (EUCs) for risk, ensuring transparency, documentation, and governance compliance.
• Continuously improve report infrastructure to increase efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and support business growth.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.
• Strong understanding of market risk concepts, key metrics (VaR, sensitivities, stress testing), and financial instruments (derivatives, fixed income, FX).
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing, report automation, and analytical tool development.
• Hands-on experience with risk reporting, including regulatory or internal management reporting.
• A problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with risk data infrastructure or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
