Location: United States (Hybrid)

Position Overview

A leading U.S.-based organization is seeking an experienced executive to serve as Vice President of Logistics. This role will provide strategic and operational leadership for logistics, transportation, and multi-site operations across the United States, including distribution, HSE, logistics and operations.

The VP of Logistics will drive operational excellence, ensure scalability, and deliver best-in-class service through a nationwide logistics network. This is a high-impact opportunity for a proven leader with the vision and ability to transform large-scale operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to optimize layouts, throughput, and workforce efficiency.
  • Develop and execute a national logistics strategy to optimize service, cost, and efficiency.
  • Lead a network of regional facilities, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Implement a customer proximity strategy to improve service by shipping from the closest facility.
  • Direct recurring freight carrier RFP processes to secure competitive rates and service reliability.
  • Establish and manage an inbound freight function for container imports, ensuring customs and tariff accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Manage workforce, quality, service, and capacity planning initiatives to ensure scalability and efficiency.
  • Monitor KPIs, manage budgets, and deliver year-over-year improvements in service and productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership in logistics, transportation, or supply chain, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role overseeing multi-site operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with Lean Six Sigma or equivalent process improvement methodologies (certification preferred).
  • Experience managing budgets, vendor contracts, and real estate portfolios.
  • Financial acumen and ability to deliver sustained cost and service improvements.
