Inviting applications for the role of Vice President, L&A Service Line

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Life Insurance Domain Expert to join our esteemed team in US. This is a senior leadership role in the Life Insurance segment, that requires the ability to constantly switch between tactical and strategic lens. In deal pursuits, this executive SME will provide direction to a cross functional deal team, as well as personally contribute to the understanding of business and technology problems, define solution and draw out the most appropriate response to the clients ask that maximizes the value for both Genpact and the client.

Responsibilities
  • Business Expertise: Lead solution building effort involving understanding client situation & challenges, articulating our solution value proposition appropriately
  • Create the optimal operating model for the client and work with FP&A teams to build a viable commercial case for Genpact and for the client
  • LSA is required to liaison with sales teams to understand potential opportunities and work with them convert the opportunities into deals. The role requires the ability to work across functions, partner ecosystem and the client organization
  • Technical Expertise: Proven understanding of L&A policy admin systems, client buyer trends, emerging technology options and understanding of buying decision driver in CIO/CTO office
  • Experience in leading guiding conversations on policy conversions in Life & Annuity, challenges experienced in conversion and how insurers are addressing these challenges
  • Hands-on experience in addressing enterprise level transformation initiative involving Automation, Contact Center and/or mailroom in last 24 months
  • Executive presentations, internal and external, are an important function of this role. Ability to clearly and succinctly communicate and strong executive presence is a must
  • When not working on specific deal pursuits, this role is required to create and augment market facing material to continuously enhance the message of strength in the Life and Annuities segment. The LSA will be required to work closely with Insurance strategy and Marketing teams to ensure Genpacts offerings are always recent and aligned to buyer needs. From time to time, LSA will publish industry relevant blogs, articles, and white papers.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Solid foundational knowledge of Insurance, specifically in Group and Individual Life and retirement products.
  • Relevant years of hands on Experience in leading client engagements Relationship management, operations, Re-Engineering and/or Transitions
  • Must have worked directly or as a vendor for a Life and Annuities insurer in US, UK or Australia for some years
  • Experience of having led cross functional project teams that did not have a direct reporting relationship to the candidate
  • Be aware of the general US and UK life and annuities regulations
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of offshoring in the L&A industry and a good sense of the competitors that operate in this space
  • Must have good leadership, interpersonal and storytelling skills
  • Extremely strong executive presence, interest and curiosity to explore developments in the market, engaging with internal teams and external experts
  • Problem solver, creative thinker
  • Excellent MS PowerPoint skills
  • Extremely strong financial acumen to create and understand business cases
  • Preferred Qualifications / Skills
  • A short stint as a consultant / advisor delivering project from a client site is preferred
  • Prior experience of managing P&L
  • Prior experience of appearing in public blogs, articles, webinar, videos, panels

Compensation & Location

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is [$275000 to $300000]. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicants experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity.

Work-from-Anywhere Roles Los Angeles California-based candidates are not eligible for this role.
