Job Description

Vice President, Global Investment Banking, RBC Capital Markets, LLC, New York, NY:

Develop detailed financial models (including restructuring, financing, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) models). Conduct asset-level due diligence on buyer/seller portfolios. Execute capital markets transactions, review legal documents, complete Know Your Client (KYC), perform company-level due diligence, and prepare committee memos. Present market updates and new ideas to clients, including capital markets, M&A, and capital raising. Participate in pitches and calls with clients. Maintain internal logs of precedent transactions, actively follow M&A deals, calculate premiums paid, and valuations. Develop sector-based knowledge to present current trends through thorough research. Conduct due diligence sessions with companies. Proactively identify operational risks and control deficiencies, escalate issues, and review work of Analysts. Train new Analysts and Interns on industrial concepts and financial modeling.

Telecommuting permitted 1 day per week.

Full-time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week, $200,000/year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field, plus 4 years of related work experience.

- 4 years of experience in:

  • Capital markets;
  • Spreadsheet modeling using Microsoft Excel, including analysis at various prices, discounted cash flow, ability-to-pay analysis, accretion/dilution, leveraged buyout analysis;
  • Managing all aspects of transaction processes, including pitches, financial analyses, valuations, due diligence, and client communication;
  • Presenting analyses in meetings; and,
  • Transactional experience in buy-side and sell-side mandates with public companies and fairness opinion assignments.

- FINRA Series 79 certification.

- Domestic travel up to 10%; no international travel required.

The base salary is $200,000 per year, excluding bonuses and benefits such as 401(k), health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and paid time off.
