JOB REQUIREMENTS: Vice President for Human Resources Posting Number:NA01466 Employment Status: Full Time Job Family: Human ResourcesPosition Overview Reporting to the EVP /COO , the VPHR serves asMarquette\'s chief human resources officer. The VPHR will oversee andstrengthen the University\'s Department of Human Resources in order toexecute the University\'s strategic priorities, support innovation, andfulfill Marquette\'s Catholic and Jesuit mission. The VPHR will clearlycommunicate human resource goals and challenges to the University\'sleadership and the campus\' broader community. The VPHR will oversee astaff of thirteen, with direct reports including the Assistant VicePresident for Human Resources, Sr. Director of Employment and EmployeeRelations, and the Director of the Marquette Child Care Center. The VPHRoversees the Marquette University Child Care Center, which is anon-site, employer sponsored center dedicated to quality care forchildren of all of those who make up the Marquette University community.As needed, the VPHR also provides support to the Board of Trustees\'Finance & Risk Committee. The VPHR will work closely with the EVP /COO ,the president\'s leadership team, as well as other campus leaders on thedevelopment and support of integrated long-range human resource planningand on integrating these plans into academic, financial, operational,and capital plans. Duties and Responsibilities Lead efforts to continueto make Marquette an employer of choice. Create human resourcestrategies that enhance the ability to recruit, engage, and retain ahighly motivated, diverse, and effective workforce that deliversMarquette\'s Catholic and Jesuit mission, especially in theimplementation of the campuswide strategic plan. Serve as a strategic,creative, and thoughtful partner to university leadership. Provideleadership to ensure Marquette\'s employees have access to the bestpossible and most cost-effective total rewards. Communicate openly, makedecisions with fortitude, and explain those decisions to the Marquettecommunity \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: RequiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities The successful VPHR candidate will be anexperienced and accomplished leader in human resources with a high levelof energy, enthusiasm, political savvy, and the drive necessary toachieve ambitious university-wide goals.
