    GROUP DESCRIPTION: Jefferies Debt Advisory & Restructuring Group leverages the capabilities of our full-service platform to provide an array of advisory and financing solutions to increase financial flexibility for corporate clients and financial sponsors. Our Debt Advisory & Restructuring professionals focus on debtor advisory, creditor advisory, out-of-court solutions, financings (DIPs/exits/rescues), distressed mergers & acquisitions and expert witness testimony.

    POSITION : Jefferies seeks a Senior Associate/Junior Vice President in New York, NY to manage transaction execution activities and business development opportunities relating to our provision of advisory services to distressed companies and their stakeholders.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

    • Manage company and creditor transaction advisory engagements
    • Collaborate in developing and executing solutions to meet client needs
    • Assist in leading discussions with senior client executives and creditor representatives
    • Handle multiple assignments simultaneously
    • Oversee target research
    • Supervise and train staff
    • Develop professional network and relationships within firm

    REQUIRED BACKGROUND :

    • Either (i) a MBA and 2-3+ years of investment banking experience as an Associate; or (ii) an undergraduate degree and 5+ years of Restructuring and/or Credit related investment banking experience, most recently as an Associate
    • Advanced accounting, finance, financial modeling and analytical abilities
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Live in the New York City area or willing to relocate
    • Experience managing analysts or other personnel
    • Be an independent thinker and resourceful problem solver driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong work ethic, organizational skills and ability to multi-task

    The salary range for this role is $275,000
