About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP Commercial Director for Dance and Entertainment Brands. The successful candidate will be tasked with unlocking and optimizing the commercial potential of the performers, including the team mascot, and the entertainment teams. This role involves the development of a comprehensive licensing strategy, the identification and negotiation of strategic partnerships, and the expansion of media and content opportunities. A key focus is on transforming the mascot into a powerful, revenue-generating brand and crafting a long-term roadmap for commercial expansion in dance and entertainment verticals. The VP Commercial Director will also be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end licensing strategy, leading the commercialization of consumer product lines, and driving the creation of original content.Applicants must have a minimum of 12 years' experience in licensing, brand management, and/or consumer products within the sports, entertainment, or media industries. The role requires a proven track record in developing and monetizing IP-driven brands, with specific experience in character licensing and branded content. The ideal candidate will have a strong network of industry contacts, excellent business judgment, and the ability to leverage data-based insights for decision-making. An entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for brand building are essential. The role demands a leader who is a passionate storyteller, a strong collaborator, and who is comfortable with the demands of a fast-paced, creative environment.
