What You'll Do

As aCardiology Veterinary Technicianat MVA, you will be an essential part of a team providing top-tier care for pets facing heart disease and cardiac conditions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with advanced cardiac diagnostics, including echocardiograms, ECGs, and radiographs
  • Positioning, sedating, and monitoring patients during procedures
  • Preparing patients for cardiology appointments, including reviewing and interpreting bloodwork, medical history, and diagnostics
  • Administering and monitoring medications, ensuring safe and accurate patient care
  • Communicating effectively and empathetically with clients during consultations, discharges, and follow-up updates
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and supporting seamless case management
  • Collaborating closely with board-certified cardiologists and fellow technicians to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Supporting other hospital teams as needed once Cardiology duties are complete, including assisting with anesthesia or emergency tasks when applicable

Anticipated Schedule

This is afull-time positionwith the following available schedule:

  • Tuesday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Compensation

  • Startingat $23.00/hour

Requirements

What We're Looking For

We're seeking Veterinary Technicians who thrive when caring for animals, solving problems under pressure, and working collaboratively. Our ideal candidate has:

  • 3+ years of experiencein a clinical setting; cardiology experience is appreciated
  • CVT/LVT/RVT licensurepreferred
  • Strong proficiency withpatient monitoring, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and cardiac diagnostics
  • Solid understandingof veterinary medical terminology, medications, and disease processes
  • Strongcommunication skillsfor client education and team collaboration
  • Abilityto prioritize, stay organized, and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • A commitment to providingexceptional patient and client care
