We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to assist our veterinarians in providing high-quality care to animals. Performing medical procedures, handle diagnostics, and ensure the well-being of patients in the Defiance community Key Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians with exams, surgeries, and other procedures
• Provide care and comfort to animals before, during, and after procedures
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Perform laboratory tests and prepare samples for analysis
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with client communication
• Clean and maintain equipment and facilities
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
