Animal Emergency Clinic of the Hudson Valley (AECHV) was founded in 1989 and is located in Kingston, NY. The hospital is community founded and supported by the local general practice community. It is an exclusively emergency clinic and is equipped with cardiac monitoring, in-house laboratory and ultrasound and dedicated support staff. AECHV is located in the scenic Hudson River Valley, which sits midway between the metropolis of New York City and the regal capital of Albany. Designated as a National Heritage Area, the valley is steeped in history, natural beauty, culture, and a burgeoning food and farmer's market scene. Among many attributes, it's the oldest wine-producing area in the country and the magnificent scenery inspired artists whose works became the Hudson River School of Painters. Veterinary Assistant Animal Emergency Clinic of the Hudson Valley in Kingston, NY $19.00-$23.00 an hour WHAT YOU'LL DO Must be available weekends Executing treatment orders Collecting urine samples - void, express, cystocentesis Keeping cages clean and sanitized Walking, feeding, and picking up after the animals Various housekeeping duties (laundry, dishes, taking out garbage etc.) Communicating with clients via phone and in-person Taking Radiographs, running CBC, Chem, LYTES Restraining animals Triaging patients and documenting complete medical history Outpatient procedures Filling prescribed medications Individual clinics to add info that's specific to their hiring needs BENEFITS We're passionate about helping you reach your greatest pet-ential - both at work and at home.
