VETERANS SERVICES INTAKE COORDINATOR/ CASE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION New Jersey Reentry Corporation is an employment-focused, data-driven, non-profit organization serving court-involved individuals and veterans currently seeking an Intake Coordinator/ Case Manager with relevant work experience. This is a full-time salaried position, Monday through Friday, with a full benefits package. Intake Coordinators/ Case Managers will work directly with our clients to keep track of their progress and assist them with removing barriers toward sustainable and pro-social employment. Intake Coordinators/ Case Managers are capable of making referrals to agencies for services needed that will help remove barriers to successful employment. Responsibilities: The Intake Coordinator/ Case Manager will, at a minimum, manage all referrals to the New Jersey Reentry Corporation site and schedule each referral to the next available Orientation Start Date; create a physical case file and a new profile in Salesforce; become familiar with new clients' risks, needs, and skills that will affect employment during orientation week; administer sessions during clients orientation week; update client detail page on Salesforce with Intake Package; assist clients with applying for benefits programs, ie. Welfare, Medicaid, etc. Required Qualifications: Minimum one (1) year experience in human services or casework duties providing services to the targeted population. Working knowledge of criminal justice issues. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and exceptional date-entry skills. A strengths-based, respectful, and trauma-informed approach to services is an absolute requirement for the position. Ability to work in an interdisciplinary client-centered team. Preferred Qualifications: Training in Motivational Interviewing or trauma-informed care. Direct experience with court-involved citizens. Experience with program and process evaluation. Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Social Service or a related field. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: The individual must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management and problem-solving/analytical skills; teamwork orientation; customer and client focus; thoroughness and flexibility. Salary: The starting salary is $42,500. Salary Negotiable. Business formal attire for an interview at NJRC is strongly recommended.
