Military Veterans are Encouraged to Apply. As an Event Concierge at our resort, you will be an ambassador who connect the resort staff with event planners to ensure the success of onsite events. This position is highly visible and the central point for handling and addressing special needs or requests. It requires detailed knowledge of the resort meeting facilities, group dynamics, and event details. Your excellent communication and organizational skills will be essential in liaising with various departments to guarantee the smooth flow of events, leaving a lasting impression on our guests. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: There are primary roles of the Event Concierge: • Resort Ambassador: Represents the Destination by Hyatt brand and makes a connection with the meeting planner to ensure that the resort has a positive image. • Liaison from the Onsite Meeting Planner to All Departments: Stays in close contact with all resort departments to ensure that all planner and resort requests are met. • Resort Ground Support Representative: The eyes and ears for all meetings and special events, communicating specifically with the Events Department to ensure the managers feel the operations is running smoothly. Checking all event space and comparing to event orders prior to planner arrival to make sure everything is ready exactly as desired. First eyes on the floor for both internal and external contacts. • Solution Creator: Communicating and addressing concerns and opportunities with planners and helping quickly find creative solutions. Working Conditions: o Previous internships or entry-level positions in banquets/ events required. o Previous Hotel or Resort experience required. o Must be authorized to work in the United States o Must be able to life 50 lbs. o Must be able to be on your feet for the majority of your shift. o Refined verbal and written communication skills. o Present a professional appearance and confidence. o Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast-paced environment o Strong time management & multi-tasking skills with the ability to work well under pressure o Ability to quickly learn new computer systems o Understanding of food and beverage operations o Excellent knowledge of Outlook o Excellent customer service skills o Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
