Vehicle Operator - County of Berkeley South Carolina : Job Details

This position typically provides performance of skilled craft duties in the operation of various heavy construction equipment in the construction and maintenance of County rights of way. Must be able to deal courteously and effectively with fellow employees. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs skilled craft duties in the operation of various types of vehicles and equipment in the construction and maintenance of County rights of way, including but not limited to operating tri-axle dump trucks with trailers and flatbed trucks;Operate heavy vehicles for service throughout various County work sites;Load and unload vehicle as required assuring all safety rules and regulations are being followed during the process;Maintain and perform minor service requirements on specific vehicle assigned such as checking and maintaining fluid and lubricant levels, lighting, tires and applicable safety equipment;Occasionally operates small hand tools, forklifts, chain saws, commercial weed eaters and earth co...Vehicle, Operator, Commercial Driver, Heavy Equipment, Maintenance Worker, Manufacturing
