Vehicle Mechanic - GE Vernova : Job Details

PRIMARY FUNCTION - Under general supervision perform vehicle maintenance, repairs, and PMs, on site vehicle fleet which includes over 250 gasoline, diesel, propane, and electric vehicles of varying types including: pickup trucks, SUVs, sedans, vans, fork trucks, boom lifts, scissor lifts, dump trucks, tractor trailer trucks, mobile cranes, yard locomotives, mini-excavator, track excavators, backhoes, concrete road saw, trailer air compressors, Cushman & Titan burden carriers, and shop rail cross cars, etc. use of hand tools and power tools, welding and torch cutting. DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES - Troubleshoot & identify problems using diagnostic equipment and reading and interpreting schematics and diagrams & OEM manuals. Basic Maintenance to include regularly scheduled PMs, checking and changing of oil and fluids, replacing worn parts such as starters, batteries, tires, brakes & pads, wheel bearings, and sensor repairs.
