The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist role involves acquiring additional inventory for the dealership by purchasing customer vehicles. Our associates provide an exceptional customer experience, managing customer expectations and communicating throughout the We'll Buy Your Car process. The associate aims to deliver on the check within an hour promise of this program.

This position offers flexible hours, hourly pay, and a bonus for each vehicle purchased.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming leads via AutoNation and third-party websites, phone, internet, and walk-in traffic.
  • Use available resources to identify and engage private parties looking to sell their vehicles.
  • Set up appointments for customers to visit the dealership for an appraisal.
  • Execute the AutoNation We'll Buy Your Car same-day payment process.
  • Review vehicle condition reports and inspect vehicles onsite.
  • Interact with customers in person and over the phone throughout the day.
  • Refer customers interested in trading in vehicles to the sales team.
  • Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
  • Ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Strong communication, prospecting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Experience with technology and a desire to work with it.
  • Sound judgment, research skills, and interpersonal skills to make vehicle offers.
  • Valid in-state driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
  • The job involves performing major duties and responsibilities, with flexibility for other related tasks. Career progression depends on business needs and candidate qualifications.

    This position is commission-based, with average earnings ranging from $5,500 to $11,000 per month.
