• Bachelor's degree; or associate's degree and two years of related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Department Required Skills Qualifications:

• Basic working knowledge of state and federal procurement laws, contract law, purchasing practices, and quality of goods/commodities and/or services being purchased.
• Ability to interpret and apply proper procurement methods and procedures for routine purchases
• Ability to prepare and maintain records of some complexity accurately and thoroughly.
• Ability to identify issues for routine purchasing actions; a1bility to explore alternatives, ability to seek assistance.
• Ability to establish, develop and maintain relationships with departmental personnel, vendors, and other customers/clients.
• Ability to respond to routine/basic requests. Superior interpersonal skills and a demonstrated high degree of accuracy are essential.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize. Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Adobe.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge and/or experience working with an integrated system that supports effective procurement and accounting business processes (example - UNC Connect Carolina) and a Preventive Maintenance (PM) work management system (example - Maximo).
• Bachelor's degree; or associate's degree and related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
