Posting DetailsPosition Information Job Title Utility Worker Department Building Maintenance - 40310 Pay Grade 3 Job Category Support Staff JobSummary The Facilities Department is looking to fill four (4) vacant positions.Employees in this role work under general supervision and perform a range of semi-skilled maintenance tasks across multiple trades, including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and custodial work. Responsibilities may include removing, replacing, or repairing light fixtures, switches, and outlets, as well as testing electrical equipment following repairs. The position also involves assisting with carpentry projects, inspecting and repairing plumbing fixtures and pipes, and performing custodial duties within maintenance areas and other facilities.Flexibility is essential, as employees must be available to work any shift or schedule, with overtime required as needed. Facilities staff are considered essential personnel and may be required to report during emergency closures or inclement weather to perform critical functions, such as snow removal.The value of employment at ETSU goes far beyond salary. Required Qualifications
- Some experience in general building and plant maintenance with some basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and masonry work.
