Overview: We are seeking a Utility Services Technician to operate various vehicles—including pumper, P&D, fence, and container trucks—to satisfy operational needs. This role includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus, paid in four equal installments over 12 months ($375 every 3 months for external candidates).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections, promptly reporting any deficiencies.
- Notify management of improper operation, faulty equipment, or unusual conditions.
- Drive service trucks to designated work sites based on daily routing information.
- Service portable restrooms, holding tanks, septic tanks, sinks, and showers according to company guidelines.
- Keep management informed of any issues on assigned routes.
- Maintain communication with dispatch for updates and changes to work locations.
- Keep truck logs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Adhere to all established safety protocols.
- Deliver or pick up portable restroom units, hand sinks, holding tanks, or containers as required.
- Act as a lead on fence jobs, managing crew tasks and operating installation equipment.
- Operate a tanker/transfer truck, completing necessary paperwork for local dump runs.
- Complete special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- At least two years of commercial driving experience.
- Valid Driver License (CDL or non-commercial).
- Strong customer service, time management, and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit while driving and stand while servicing products.
- Use of hands and fingers for handling tools and controls.
- Ability to see details of objects close up and at a distance.
- Communicate clearly for customer interactions.
- Walk for up to 30 minutes without exertion.
- Enter and exit equipment safely, lifting up to 40 pounds from waist to shoulders.
- Crouch, squat, push, and pull weights of 100 pounds horizontally.
