Performs inspection, maintenance, and/or restoration of utility infrastructure. Responsible for the direct supervision of field crews while planning, organizing, and coordinating daily field operations for various job types. Must be at least 21 years of age. Responsibilities include performing work according to standard work practices, maintaining good customer and public relations, hiring, training, motivating, and supervising a crew, managing daily work and crew to meet safety, quality, production, expense control, and crew management goals, operating vehicles to transport material, equipment, and crew, collecting, recording, and submitting accurate data related to timekeeping, payroll, and work performed, promoting and enforcing safety, maintaining all vehicles, equipment, and tools used by the crew, maintaining adequate inventory of equipment, tools, materials, and supplies, enforcing and complying with all company and/or customer-required policies and procedures.

Education and/or experience required: high school diploma or general education degree (GED); possess some specialized training or at least three months of related work experience. Must successfully complete a three to eight week foreman training program. Must possess a valid state driver's license with no DUI/DWI convictions within the previous five years. Ability to maintain First Aid and CPR certifications. May be required to obtain a state pesticide applicator license. May be required to obtain and pass a DOT medical exam.
Technical skills include effective communication, reading and following maps, understanding and following complex procedures and specifications, using a handheld data collection device, strong computer skills, and the technical aptitude to learn Osmose software applications.
Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, lifting, and moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
Work environment includes handling and/or applying chemical substances, working in outdoor conditions, and exposure to energized electrical equipment and noise levels.
Travel varies by customer and/or location, including frequent Monday through Friday overnight travel throughout one or more states. Extended work weeks and overtime hours are probable during peak work periods or for specific jobs. Must maintain consistent attendance record and be available for work Monday through Saturday.
