Utility Pipe Layer - KNIFE RIVER : Job Details

Role Overview:This is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year-round.* Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing* Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers* Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement or glue* Cover pipes with earth or other materials* Cut pipes to required lengths* Dig trenches to desired or required depts, by hand or using trenching tools* Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools* Install and repair water, stormwater & sewer structures and pipe systems* Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisors.* Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors* All other duties as assigned by supervisorMinimum requirements:As a successful Utility Pipe Layer, you will have:* High School diploma or General Education Degree, or equivalent experience.* Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record CDL preferred.* Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some SaturdaysAdditional Information:Knife River is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
