Utility Machine Operator - Nucor Corporation : Job Details

The role of Utility Machine Operator is to safely operate and maintain the Grant Machine. Duties include, but are not limited to, running the Grant to provide refractory lining, slag and scale build-up, cleaning ladle lips, digging pits, completing routine preventative maintenance on the Grant machine as well as general housekeeping in the plant. This position will also provide support to production and refractory teams i.e.: unloading supplies, cleaning around bins, silos, and supply pads. The qualified candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including nights, weekends, vacation coverage, and holidays.
