Job Description :

We are seeking a a Utility Loader Hand to work on our construction projects. As a key member of our team, the Utility Loader Hand will work closely with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed to the highest level of quality.ResponsibilitiesOperate heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, and loaders, to move materials, earth, and other heavy objectsEnsure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of qualityMaintain equipment and perform basic repairs as neededCommunicate regularly with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budgetDevelop and maintain relationships with crew members and subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of project schedules and deadlinesEnsure that all equipment is properly maintained and that safety procedures are followed at all timesIdentify and resolve issues that arise during construction projectsProvide on-the-job training to new operators and act as a mentor to other operatorsOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy equipment operation preferred1+ years of experience operating heavy equipment, with experience in a construction setting preferredAbility to read and interpret construction plans and specificationsStrong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiencesStrong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvementExperience with government contracts and compliance is a plusA commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplaceEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
