The Role:Usher/Ticket TakerAs part of the Guest Services team, ushers are responsible for providing excellent guest services at Toyota Oakdale Theatre during all events. This includes greeting guests, providing information and directions, assisting with problems/issues, and controlling ticket access points throughout the venue.Job Functions:

• Provide excellent guest services by greeting, directing, and assisting guests

• Respond to customer inquiries and provide event and venue information

• Maintain order and ensure adherence to safety rules.

• Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency.

• Refuse admittance to undesirable persons or persons without correct tickets or passes.

• Examine tickets or passes to verify authenticity or designation, using criteria such as seating location, color or date issued, and direct appropriately

• Directing guests to venue services and facilities

• Provide assistance with guests' special needs, such as helping those with wheelchairs

• As designated:

• Scan guests' admission tickets

• Operate ticket scanners, printers, other equipment as needed

• Assist guests in finding seats, lighting the way with flashlights, if necessary.

• Settle seating disputes or help solve other guest concerns

• Other tasks as assigned by the Usher/Ticket Taker Manager or Supervisors

Qualifications:Candidates are required to have at least one (1) year prior customer service experience, preferably in a theatre/entertainment venue environment. Applicants must be able to work holidays and weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) events throughout the year. Shifts schedules vary, candidate must be available to work from both day and night shifts if applicable. Most shifts are 5:00pm-midnight during the week. Candidate must be able to stand for a minimum of 6-8 hour shifts, walk up and down stairs.
