Job Overview

The Assistant Director for URMC Academic Programs Alumni Relations reports to the Senior Director of Alumni Relations. The role involves designing, managing, and implementing alumni programs and events, overseeing annual giving initiatives, and fostering lifelong relationships with alumni from the School of Medicine and Dentistry, School of Nursing, and Eastman Institute for Oral Health.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage alumni volunteers and coordinate reunion activities and regional engagement.
• Develop and implement annual fund and reunion giving strategies, including communication and stewardship efforts.
• Plan and execute alumni events, including Meliora Weekend and signature dinners, and support membership and mentorship programs.
• Coordinate alumni communications and manage digital content related to reunions and alumni engagement.
• Ensure proper stewardship of donor-funded scholarships and funds.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least five years of relevant experience in alumni relations, event management, or volunteer management.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends, and travel as needed.
