Urgent Care Physician - Locum Tenens - Pennsylvania - GHR Healthcare : Job Details

An established Urgent Care group with multiple locations across Pennsylvania is seeking board-certified physicians for an immediate locum tenens need. This role offers consistent scheduling, supportive staff, and the chance to provide high-quality care to patients of all ages.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Monthly Commitment: 12 shifts per month (FT preferred, PT considered)
• Start Date: September 1, 2025
• Travel: Mileage, lodging, and transportation provided as needed
• Setting: Fast-paced Urgent Care; average 3–4 patients/hour
• Support: Medical assistants and radiology techs onsite; Epic EMR

Responsibilities:

• Provide urgent care services for patients of all ages
• Diagnose and treat minor illnesses and injuries (lacerations, burns, rashes, sprains, etc.)
• Perform suturing, splinting, wound care, I&Ds, X-rays, EKGs, blood draws, and IVs
• Work independently and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Refer high-acuity cases to the ER as appropriate

Qualifications:

• Board Certified (ABEM: 1+ year of EM experience; ABFM/ABIM: 2+ years EM or Urgent Care experience)
• Active Pennsylvania license & CSR required (IMLC not accepted)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
• Comfortable treating pediatric through geriatric patients
• Skilled in wound care and orthopedic procedures
• Must be open to travel between sites
