To empower students of all backgrounds through hands-on activities that foster self-confidence and a personal connection to nature.

We often need volunteers to help move materials, set up equipment for field trips, guide students between activities, help get life jackets on, or put canoes on the boat trailer. No matter what the task, you will be part of something fun and will be thanked by excited, smiling kids.

We engage volunteers for our public open paddles/wilderness field trips around the Cincinnati area.

The Urban Wilderness Program partners with schools and organizations to provide students of all backgrounds truly unique, hands-on experiences such as boat building, canoeing, and campfire cooking. Participants learn new skills, grow as a team, and gain an appreciation of nature they can personally connect with.
