UPRR Facility Helper - BWX Technologies : Job Details

Maintains cleanliness of MAA recovery/ SFF/ Down blend controlled areas to comply with cleanliness standards, radiation protection requirements on contamination and ALARA. Operates Ludlum counter, waster compactor, applies tamper safe seals and transports waste containers to assist in disposing of LLRW such as office paper and gloves. Operates well counter to sample solution prior to sending solution to waste treatment. Empties controlled area clothing drums. Maintains inventory of controlled area support commodities such as gloves, filters, test tubes, beakers, etc. and restocks as needed. Conducts monthly safety and cleanliness audits. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications / Requirements: Must be able to demonstrate strict adherence to operational safety and criticality procedures. Must be able to obtain and maintain respirator qualifications and be capable of climbing ladders. Must be self-motivated and demonstrate good communication skills.
