1. Assistance: Performs and aids the physician and nurse with a variety of treatments and patient care procedures .. Communication: Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor and gives a general report on all patients at the end of each shift. Reports vital signs and records accurately and within a timely manner .. Documentation: Observes, reports and records patient care, symptoms, treatments and reactions following approved policies and procedures of the institution .. In-service: Assists and participates in in-service education .. Patient Area Maintenance: Maintains a clean environment in patient rooms and work area .. Patient Observation: Notifies RN of changes in patient condition in a timely manner and documents appropriately ..
