Unit Clerk - Westchester Medical Center Health : Job Details

Provides coordination, clerical and administrative support to the health care team on patient care units. Maintains a customer focused approach establishing effective communication between the health care team and the patient, family/significant other. Responsibilities Communication-Demonstrates the ability to process and interface appropriate information between the health care team and the patient, family/significant other to ensure quality patient outcomes. Maintains the flow of telephone communication through appropriate information gathering and relay. Clerical- Performs such duties as filing, faxing, and photocopying. Secretarial- Supply management, maintains adequate levels of patient care/medical and office supplies. Documentation - Appropriately transcribes MD orders and pertinent patient information. Reception Services - Greets and directs all customers in a friendly and courteous manner. Scheduling Patients - Appropriately schedules patients for all needed services.
