Job Description

Location: New York, NY | Exton, PA

Global Insurance Programs are central to AXA XL's offerings, managing over 5,000 programs worldwide and arranging over 35,000 policies across all lines of business. Our extensive network spans over 200 countries and territories. As a key growth pillar, Global Programs require a Property Underwriting skillset focused on US regulatory compliance, forms (ISO and proprietary), operations, and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of Multinational Incoming Casualty/Reverse Flow Underwriters.
  • Perform active day-to-day underwriting of incoming Casualty/Reverse Flow accounts, collaborating with Producing Underwriters and US Brokers.
  • Serve as the referral point for Casualty/Reverse Flow incoming team, escalating to US Property CUO as needed.
  • Oversee the process from quote request to policy issuance, working closely with Operations.
  • Implement continuous improvements and efficiencies across teams.
  • Educate international underwriters on US market, regulations, products, and processes.
  • Build trusted relationships with US and international property CUOs and regional managers.
  • Review and update incoming forms in coordination with Legal & Compliance and forms specialists.
  • Act as the primary contact for US producers on property topics.

Reporting line: to the Head of US Incoming and matrix to the Casualty Americas CUO.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of US underwriting experience, including 3+ years in management.
  • Strong underwriting discipline and regulatory compliance knowledge.
  • Focus on operational execution, meeting SLAs for timeliness and quality.
  • Proven change management skills and process questioning ability.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments, including Europe and India.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Relationship development with clients, producers, and trading partners.
  • Strong personal direction and time management skills.

Compensation

The U.S. salary range is $133,000 to $233,000 USD, with actual pay based on skills, experience, and location.
