My client, a rapidly growing community bank, is seeking an Underwriting Manager to join their team and play an important role in overseeing the underwriting process for commercial, construction, and residential lending.

Responsibilities

• Direct the end-to-end underwriting process for various loan types, including commercial real estate, construction, and residential mortgages.
• Evaluate financial viability and creditworthiness of prospective borrowers.
• Manage team workflows, balancing workloads and priorities to ensure efficient credit processing.
• Monitor loan pipeline to ensure timely progression of applications and adherence to internal credit policy.
• Provide training on underwriting systems and credit analysis techniques to enhance team capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate and/or construction loan underwriting.
• 2+ years of experience in residential and/or commercial & industrial lending preferred.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a lending environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of credit analysis, loan documentation, and risk-based lending.
