Job description - Hourly PositionThe essential functions of this position are:1. Operate mining equipment consistent with task training and operational necessities of the mine2. Assist in maintenance activities consistent with training and the needs of the mine3. Set floor to roof supports4. Build or hang ventilation controls5. Hang and handle power cables6. Lay rail7. Rock Dust8. Shovel and cleanup spillage9. Load and unload supplies and handle materials10. Mine drainage including pumping and ditching11. Assist in power moves12. Assist in belt moves, installation and repair13. Watch out for the safety of self and co-workers14. Perform all required pre-operational checks before operating equipmentThe marginal activities of this position are:* Perform any other assigned tasks for which he or she is qualified by virtue of training or experienceWork Schedule:* 8 hour shift + hot seat* Rotating shifts* Monday through Friday, occasional Saturday* Overtime - as required, and/or voluntaryLicense/Certification:* WV Miner's Card - Black Hat (Required)Physical Requirements:* Operate equipment in a safe efficient manner* Use various hand tools* Lift, carry, push, pull - tools, materials and supplies 50 - 100 lbs. regularly.* Walk, bend, climb, reach, crawl as necessary* Work Closely with others in a team environmentAPPLY AT: tunnelridgemine.com
