Overview

Job Summary

Student Recruitment Team responsibilities are as follows:

  • Coordinate prospective student School of Music visit days
  • Compile student audition materials for School of Music audition days
  • Confirm School of Music audition day attendance through phone, email, and print correspondence
  • Organize and transport audition day materials to various School of Music spaces
  • Assist with all aspects of audition day: set up/tear down, sign in, building and practice room monitoring, assist visiting students and families, etc.
  • Other Outreach & Recruitment duties as assigned

Additional Information

The School of Music prides itself in the individualized attention it provides to students majoring in liberal arts, music business, music education, music composition, music therapy, music performance, jazz studies, string pedagogy, collaborative piano, and graduate conducting. It is one of three Schools within the Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts and has an enrollment of 360 music majors: 300 undergraduate and 60 graduate students. The School of Music has 52 full-time faculty and 40 graduate assistants.

Compensation

Pay Rate: $15/hour

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications: Music student who has completed a minimum of two full semesters at Illinois State University.

Work Details

Work Hours: Various hours dependent on availability between the hours of 8:00 AM-4:30 PM with some evenings and weekends required.

Functional Expectations: Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: 1) Effectively communicate on a daily basis
