Undercutter Construction Laborer - RailWorks Corporation : Job Details

Performs a variety of tasks involving physical labor at construction sites, utilizing hand and power tools and other equipment. This position will require extensive travel. Primary/ Essential Responsibilities and Duties Cleans and prepares construction sites to eliminate possible hazards via handtools and power tools. Measures, marks, and records openings and distances to lay out areas where construction work will be performed Controls traffic passing near, in, and around work zones. Removes and replaces ballast Observes condition of tracks, track beds, and track right of way to detect and report problems or defects Digs holes and trenches. Sorts track material for loading and unloading and assists operators with signaling equipment. Complies with all company and railroad safety rules, practices and regulations.
