POSITION SUMMARY
Sage Health is seeking a dedicated Unarmed Physical Security Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors and staff.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Patrol the exterior/interior areas of Sage Health centers to detect and deter security threatsMonitor surveillance cameras, panic alarms and alert the authorities when appropriateRespond to emergencies, security incidents, and participate in life safety exercisesEnforce Sage Health rules, regulations, policies and proceduresConduct security checks and inspectionsWrite detailed reports on incidents and observationsServe as a member of the Sage Health Emergency Preparedness & Response TeamKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Proficient in conflict management and de-escalation techniquesMust have excellent communication skills and customer serviceKnowledge of loss prevention techniquesMust be physically capable of handling demanding tasks (endurance, strength, agility)Prior military and/or previous law enforcement background a plusPossession of relevant certificates such as (First Aid and CPR) CCTV monitoring a plusFamiliarity with surveillance systems and access control proceduresMust have the ability to commute to other Sage Health centers in the regionQUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma, GED or equivalentMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be a US citizen or legal residentMust have a valid State security guard certificationMust have at least 2 years of security experienceMust have a valid driver's licenseMust be able to pass drug testMust be able to pass background checkMust have a strong command of the English languageMust be able to work various shifts between 7:30am – 5:30pm plus after-hour events when needed.Reports To: Vice President, Strategic Initiatives
