Pride Health is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist to support our client's medical facility in Brooklyn, NY 11215. This is a 8-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) assignment opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Summary:
• Ultrasound Technologist. 40 hours per week (4x10s; Nights: Wed, Thurs Fri 10a-8p/ Saturday 730a-5p)
• RDMS w/ American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
• BCLS (AHA)
• Graduate of accredited program in Ultrasound Tech
• HS Diploma/GED
Ultrasound Technologist:
• Explaining the ultrasound procedure to patients, answering their questions, and providing support.
• Spreading the ultrasound gel on the surface of patients' bodies over the internal area to be imaged.
• Programming and adjusting the scanner for the specific procedure and ensuring the transducer captures images from every angle or section as needed.
• Deciding which still images, or sonograms, to capture and present to the Physician for diagnostic purposes.
• Evaluating the images for quality and interpreting the images to assist the Physicians in diagnosing and treating diseases.
• Presenting the images and your preliminary findings to the Physicians.
Experience required:
• 2 years of Ultrasound Tech experiencing in hospital setting is required.
• Philips ultrasound exp.
• 2-3 yrs exp in pt care w/ training in Ultrasound w/ knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
• Demonstrated exp in patient care with training in Ultrasound.

• Weekly Pay Range: $2250/week to $2550/week
