Position Summary: We are seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work independently in a fast-paced outpatient imaging setting and possess a strong understanding of ultrasound imaging and patient care protocols. Key Responsibilities:
- Select ultrasound equipment based on examination requirements
- Explain procedures, obtain patient history, and assist with proper patient positioning
- Use cognitive sonographic skills to adapt procedures based on real-time imaging and findings
- Ensure proper maintenance of ultrasound equipment and inventory of supplies
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to clinical protocols
Qualifications:
- ARDMS Certification (Required)
- CPR Certification (Required)
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant ultrasound experience
- Familiarity with PACS and general computer systems (Preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to new technology and work independently
- Excellent patient service and bedside manner
