Ultrasound Technologist - PRIDE Health : Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a full-time, 9-Week extendable contract position. This role focuses primarily on OB/GYN ultrasound, including evaluations across all three trimesters. Vascular-only ultrasound experience is not a fit for this role.

Position Summary:

Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Location: New York, NY 10003

Schedule: M-F with some weekends (8x5)

Shift: Days (8AM-4PM EST)

Pay Range: $2000-$2200/ Gross Weekly DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform OB/GYN ultrasound examinations per departmental protocols.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; perform basic troubleshooting and cleaning.
• Capture and transfer diagnostic images to PACS and physician workstations.
• Prepare patients for exams; explain procedures to reduce anxiety.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies and ensure exam rooms are clean and organized.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided procedures when necessary.
• Answer phones, schedule exams, and coordinate patient transport if needed.
• Mentor and support orientation of new ultrasound staff.
• Follow safety protocols to protect patients and staff.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED AND completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography program
• ARDMS certification (Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist with strong OB/GYN skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and PACS
