Position Summary:

As an Ultrasound Technician, you will deliver high-quality ultrasound procedures to our patients and physicians in a respectful, efficient manner within a safe and clean environment.

Position Requirements:

  • Formal Education / Training: Must be a graduate of an approved ultrasound school and hold accreditation through ARDMS. Registration in OB/GYN, ABDOMEN, BREAST, and VASCULAR preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital setting after graduation preferred; however, we are willing to provide training.
  • Equipment and Skills Training: Training on specific equipment and processes utilized at Williamson Medical Center will be provided.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform multifunctional tasks such as operating equipment and assisting in patient movement.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds and work effectively in urgent and emergency situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify patient identification and physician orders for accuracy before conducting examinations.
  • Maintain patient dignity and comfort during examinations and any necessary transport.
  • Provide high-quality ultrasound studies adhering to predetermined protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and radiologists to relay findings clearly.
  • Be willing to assist in other areas as needed during downtime.
  • Transport patients safely and follow all required safety procedures.
  • Perform biopsies with adherence to 'Time Out' and specimen labeling procedures.
