UC Network Cisco Engineer - TEKsystems : Job Details

Large enterprise is currently seeking a UC/Network Engineer to support both Network and IT Telecommunications Department.

They are looking for a Network UC engineer with experience in Cisco UC and networking.

This engineer will work on a team of 16, collaborating with department managers and end users to understand business needs, gather requirements, and develop solutions to enhance the call center experience. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining IVRs and call flow routing for DTMF and advanced speech applications, leading API/Web Service integrations, and supporting QM recording, outbound dialing campaigns, WFM, Omni-Channel Analytics, Customer Journeys, and Reporting. The role also involves supporting existing Telephony and Contact Center solutions and demonstrating complex problem-solving skills.

The engineer will perform system tuning to optimize IPT system performance, analyze performance data for capacity management, and ensure solutions are integrated with network security, wireless networks, and IP telephony.

This position involves migrating 4,500 end users to the Cloud for the call center and requires experience in cloud-enabled contact center solutions, with a minimum of 4 years in IVR applications and ASRs, including development, deployment, and monitoring.

• 2+ years of programming in VXML, Java, .Net, J2EE, JSP, and database technologies supporting enterprise call center applications
• Experience integrating Genesys-Pure-Cloud with CRM applications
• Experience with TUI Designs
• At least 2 years of hands-on Genesys-Pure-Cloud development, configuration, deployment, and support
• Strong knowledge of Genesys solutions and products
• Experience with Conversational AI, chatbots, and virtual assistants leveraging AI/ML
• Collaboration with telecom and infrastructure teams for Pure-cloud implementations
• Preferred knowledge of AWS, Agile with SAFe, and digital transformation activities
• Proficiency in configuring LAN, voice, and data networks, Cisco routers, switches, CUCM, CUC, UCCX, QoS, and troubleshooting
• Experience with network security, wireless, and IP telephony
• Ability to manage multiple projects and operational tasks concurrently
• Knowledge of cloud automation, design patterns, and microservices is a plus
• Independent work ethic and initiative in learning new systems

The candidate will be responsible for supporting complex solutions within the UC platform, providing technical recommendations, and liaising with stakeholders for Pure-cloud support. Excellent communication, documentation, and technical skills are required.

This is a fully onsite position located in Brooklyn, NY.
