Title: Tutor Reports To: Program Director Location: Bronx, NY Hours: 8-20 hours per week / Non Exempt Schedule: Monday Friday, 2 pm to 6 pm SALARY: $16.15 - $23.15 JOB SUMMARY: The Tutor develops connections with students and meets with them individually as well as in groups for academic learning support in specified subjects. MAJOR DUTIES: Build and maintain meaningful relationships with teachers and students. Liaise and meet with school faculty regarding classroom work and assignments, as well as individual student needs. Observe individual student s learning styles and plan lessons accordingly. Conduct practice tests and assessments to track student progress, identify areas of improvement and help set academic goals. Contribute to planning and actualizing of long-term and short-term objectives for the tutoring program in conjunction with the Program Director.
