Job Description

Insight Global's client is a data technology business specializing in the management, application, storage, and usage of business data. Partnering with various government departments to help business leaders obtain the key information and insights needed to guide their organizations to new accomplishments. They are looking to add a Lead Data Analyst to head up this growing team. The Lead Data Analyst will oversee data analytics efforts within the DHS Insider Threat Operations Center (ITOC). This role includes team leadership, technical mentorship, and driving the growth of the behavioral analytics platform. The goal is to deliver high-impact data insights and help advance DHS's insider threat detection and risk mitigation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead a team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers.

· Assign tasks, manage priorities, and keep analytics projects on track.

· Guide the evolution of the behavioral analytics platform to meet DHS needs.

· Mentor junior staff on advanced analytics, data best practices, and government reporting.

Data Analytics & Study Design

· Plan and carry out complex analytics on large datasets (structured and unstructured).

· Use statistical analysis, machine learning, and behavioral modeling to detect risk indicators.

Reporting & Communication

· Create executive-level reports and dashboards.

· Present findings clearly to DHS leadership to support informed decision-making.

Quality & Standards

· Build repeatable processes for data validation and report quality.

· Define metrics to track the effectiveness of analytics and align with program goals.
