Trust Operations Specialist
– Law Firm – Boston, MAWe are currently seeking a Trust Operations Specialist to join an elite Boston-based law firm to support its Wealth & Trust division. This role is essential in facilitating operational and financial activities for Trustees and clients, with a focus on managing sophisticated trust accounts, ensuring timely reconciliations, and supporting financial workflows. Ideal candidates will bring at least 3 years of experience in trust operations, particularly within a professional services or legal environment.
This is a direct hire position that will pay $90-110K on a base salary (depending on experience). This position is required to be onsite 4 days per week in the Boston office.Responsibilities:Handle the onboarding and closing of trust accounts, ensuring all documentation and tax reporting requirements are met.
Deliver high-level operational support to internal Trustees and external clients, maintaining a client-first service approach.
Guide clients through setup and navigation of digital account access and tools.
Process and monitor complex financial activities including disbursements, loan payments, deposits, and reconciliations.
Support daily operations involving trade settlement, position tracking, and unrestricted asset movements.
Manage trust-specific operations such as fee administration and tax payment processing.
Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal control policies.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; trust or legal operations experience strongly preferred.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in trust operations or financial services roles.
Familiarity with financial platforms such as Advent, APX, Moxie, InvestCloud, and Unity/G+ is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with precision and meet deadlines consistently.
Strong understanding of trust accounting, banking operations, and compliance standards.
Exceptional communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and sound judgment.
Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and integrity in sensitive matters.
