Job Summary:HMD is looking to hire a full time, experienced and motivated Shop Foreman to join our team. The Shop Foreman will be responsible for supervising and managing the day-to-day operations of the shop. This role oversees a team of mechanics, ensuring repair and maintenance work is completed efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is skilled at problem-solving, workflow coordination, and communication with both team members and fleet managers.Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily operations of the truck repair shop and manage a team of diesel mechanics.
• Set work schedules for mechanics to ensure adequate coverage and balanced workloads.
• Assist team members with troubleshooting mechanical and/or diagnostic issues as needed.
• Train new mechanics and provide ongoing guidance to staff.
• Address performance issues, including conducting disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with office staff and drivers regarding estimates and repair status.
• Ensure the shop is clean, organized, and operationally compliant.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Semi - Truck Repair: 1 year (Preferred)
• Previous supervisory experience in shop management: 1-2 years (Preferred)
• Strong knowledge of diesel trucks and trailers.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and FMCSA standards.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and follow safety rules and regulations.

Job Type: Full-time, On-sitePay: $25 - $40 per hourExpected hours: 40 - 50 per weekBenefits:
