**Truck Driver Trainee - Bonus Eligible!**

Complete required coursework, training and testing to obtain CDL. Learn and perform all responsibilities of Forklift Operator and Yard Jockey. Learn and perform Short Haul Driver responsibilities after obtaining CDL.

**Day-to-Day Role**

* Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements.

* Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards

* Follow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)

* Attend CDL school and complete required coursework, training and testing to obtain CDL

* Obtain and Maintain a Valid Medical Examiners Certificate (MEC) & Class A CDL Permit while in CDL School

* Learn and perform all responsibilities of Forklift Operator and Yard Jockey

* Operate a forklift, yard truck or tractor with or without a trailer within Dart property lines, never traveling on a public roadway until CDL is obtained

* Pass CDL Test and Obtain a Class A CDL

* Learn and perform all responsibilities of Short Haul Driver after successfully obtaining CDL

**Core Skills & Qualifications**

**The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:**

* Currently enrolled in an approved CDL School

* Must be 21 years or older for interstate vehicle operation and 18 for intrastate vehicle operation

* Clean driving record (no violations, citations or pending legal actions) for minimum of three (3) years

* Physically qualified under US DOT regulations (part 391)

* Ability to meet and maintain local, state, and federal regulations, DOTs and FMCSAs laws as required

* Ability to obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) license

* Ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes demonstrated and other workplace procedures

* Ability to meet safety, quality and service standards

* Professional written and verbal communication skills

* Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues

**Preferred Skills & Qualifications:**

* Six (6) months prior warehouse, material handling or PIT operations experience

*Full time employees are eligible to earn up to $1,000 per month (up to $500 per month for part time) based on meeting 90% of your work schedule. You will be eligible for these bonuses upon hire. The program runs June through October.
