Program Information
- Owner-operators needed to run local lanes Mon – Sat starting at 06:00.
- Driver assists in loading and strapping cargo down in the trailers.
- Earning potential / month is approx. $17K

Customer Requirements:
- Drivers will run around a 40–50-mile radius of South Bend, IN
- Driver will be required to work in PPE.
- Drivers will verify to what is being loaded on their truck down to the pallet label.
- Drivers will be required to strap in the pallets. (2 straps per pallet)
- Drivers will be provided with tools in each trailer that they will need to account for. (They will not use them but they need to stay in the truck)
- Pick Ups and deliveries are by appts.
- Communication expectation will be to the highest level.
- Typically a driver starts their day at 1700 and finishes at 0500.(there are some exceptions)
- Drivers will be required to work some weekends.
- Drivers will undergo 3 badging processes.
- There will be 1 lead driver (company driver) coordinating the drivers.
- Dispatch instructions are sent the night before.
Various requirements apply and will be discussed during the application process.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current CDL & medical card
- 1 Year of OTR verifiable Tractor Trailer experience
- Good MVR & Accident record
- DOT regulations & CSA program compliant
- Ability to obtain TSA clearance or TWIC card.
- Self-Certified CDL with State DMV
To qualify with Crane Freight and Cartage, you must meet the following criteria:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid CDL Class A license.
- Must have a valid social security number.
- Must have legal right to work in the United States
- Must have 2 or less moving violations or accidents in the last 3 years.
- License have not been suspended or revoked in the last 3 years.
- No conviction for DUI or DWI in the last 7 years
- We evaluate PSP results in the decision-making process.
