TRIO Student Support Services STEM & Health Sciences- Peer Tutor - Fayetteville State University : Job Details

Tutors are responsible for providing one-on-one and/or small group academic assistance in the subject areas that they are approved to tutor, keeping accurate records of tutoring activities, creating lesson plans for students as needed, administering pre/post-tests to participants, reviewing academic progress of participants, completing monthly tutor reports, and attending mandatory monthly meetings and workshops. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: -Must be an undergraduate or graduate student who has completed at least one semester.-Have an average of As or Bs in the course subject that will be tutored.-Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher. Knowledge skills and abilities: A basic knowledge of the subject(s) you desire to tutor. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work well individually and with a team Preferred Qualifications: Previous tutoring experience is preferred, but not required.
