Position Overview

Our firm is looking for an experienced trial attorney to join our CVA department. The ideal candidate is energetic and eager about helping survivors of sexual abuse. Must have a strong background in trial practice and excellent oral argument skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct jury trials
• Oversee trial strategy and preparation
• Conduct depositions
• Assist in case evaluation and in developing strategies and arguments in preparation for trial
• Attend in-person pretrial conferences
• Ability to prepare pretrial and trial motions re: testimony, evidence, rulings, etc.

Skills/Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in civil litigation and trial practice.
• Prior experience on the Plaintiff side with Personal Injury highly preferred.
• Strong oral argument skills.
• Must have taken and defended for 50+ depositions.
• Successful completion of multiple trials.
• NYS Bar Admission required.
