This position is appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by the Council and shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. The Treasurer is the division chief of the Treasury Division.This position reports to the Director of Finance and is responsible for the custody, investment and disbursement of all funds belonging to the Consolidated Government, administration of the City's debt transactions, and for such other duties as defined in the ordinance; responsible for the administrative support and financial management of the City of Jacksonville Employees Retirement Systems (including the General Employees and Correctional Officer Pension Plan).
ResponsibilitiesBachelors' Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in finance, accounting, business management or a related subject and substantial experience in the area of public or private financial management.
Professional designations such as CFA, CPA, CFP, and CTP desired.
