Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion, US:CO:Aurora

Department: Respiratory Therapist

FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Rotating

Pay: $50.00 per hour plus travel package/stipend

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Current Colorado RRT State licensure
• Minimum of 1 year of experience
• Current NRP certification
• BLS certification - BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with a valid card before the start date

Job Duties:

• Administer and assess responses to prescribed therapies as per the patient's care plan. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions appropriately.
• Evaluate respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices. Respond to codes and urgent calls for assistance.
• Assess patient conditions and provide suitable treatments using established protocols.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions and available community resources.
• Utilize critical thinking and decisive judgment abilities while working independently in a fast-paced environment. Follow Standard Precautions and utilize required personal protective equipment.
